Embracing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidence-based therapy that focuses on helping us to drop the struggle with our challenging inner experience, and instead foster these feelings, thoughts, memories, sensations, and urges mindfully, without judgement. As a combination of acceptance, mindfulness, values, and commitment, ACT aims to enhance our psychological flexibility, guiding us toward a more fulfilling and satisfying life through embracing our willingness to foster the challenging emotions and circumstances, adapting our thoughts and behaviors, acting and aligning with our personal values and life purpose.

Re-Invent yourself Journey

The Six Core Therapeutic Processes In ACT Are:

1.  Contacting the present moment: To be Present Here and Now.. Mindfulness

2.  Defusion: Detachment, Watch Your Thinking

3.  Acceptance: Open Up

4.  Self-as-Context: Flexible Perspective Dynamic Approach to Oneself

5.  Values: Know What Matters. Embrace Your Values.

6.  Committed Effective Action: Do What it Takes. We Move from Thinking to Doing.

Who Is ACT Therapy Best For?

Studies indicate that Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is beneficial for various conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, and chronic pain. ACT enables us to clarify personal values, accomplish individual goals, and overcome feelings of guilt and shame. This approach fosters and enhances clarity and motivation, empowering us to cultivate meaningful and fulfilling lives while mindfully and effectively managing challenging private inner experiences, thoughts, emotions, feelings, and life circumstances.
